Almere
Almere (200,000 inhabitants) was built on reclaimed land and is the fastest growing city in the Netherlands. It is located just 20 km from Amsterdam, on the opposite side of the IJmeer lake. By train it takes just 20 minutes to reach the centre of Amsterdam. But there's no need to take the train if you want to shop, as Almere has one of the largest shopping centres in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and you'll never get tired of it. The city is known for its historic canals, picturesque and often ancient buildings, the many museums, shopping streets, the many markets, the fascinating nightlife. The Anne Frank House, the Kalverstraat, the Dam, the Leidseplain, the Vondelpark - they're all fantastic sights. Take a tour of the canals and you'll see almost all of the 'must-see's' from the water.
